Arti Sandhu, an Associate Professor in the Fashion Program at the School of Design at DAAP, University of Cincinnati, is a passionate researcher and educator. Originally from India, she studied Fashion Design at N.I.F.T. (New Delhi) and earned her MA in Fashion and Textiles from Nottingham Trent University (U.K.). Arti’s research focuses on contemporary Indian fashion and related design culture. She authored the book Indian Fashion: Tradition, Innovation, Style (Bloomsbury Academic, 2014). Beyond academia, her artworks exploring identity and migration have been exhibited globally. Arti’s commitment to sustainable design practices and decolonizing fashion studies exemplifies her role as an influential scholar.
